And yet you’ll never get enough: thanks to the standard additional headlight and the full LED headlight with adaptive headlight, you can now travel more safely and confidently than ever before, even at night. Thanks to its swivel function, the light cone remains constant and adapts seamlessly when you lean into corners. After all, what’s better than never losing sight of the horizon even in the dark? The standard audio system 2.0 also opens up new dimensions. Apart from intuitive menu navigation and numerous sound profiles, there is not much to see: the antennas have been concealed. This makes enjoying the music all the more impressive. Just what you expect!
Thanks to its 10.25" TFT colour display, clear-cut design and hardened as well as anti-reflective cover glass, the re-designed cockpit of the K 1600 Grand America has been perfectly geared towards your journey. And the overall appearance? Streamlining in typical bagger style with a low rear section exudes elegance, power and an exclusive character. The high windscreen, comfortable footboards and the topcase with backrest clearly show one thing: no problem if the shared journey takes a little longer here. With all the comfort features – and like a duck takes to water.
The engine of the K 1600 Grand America is happy to go the extra mile. In this process, it reacts so precisely and confidently to your commands that you can already feel it looking forward to the next corner and or straight every time: this is how legendary superiority, smoothness and performance feel. Thanks to the revised engine control unit, you will now be even happier to feel the urge to accelerate: 160 hp rated output now already develop 1,000 rpm earlier while the increased maximum torque of 180 Nm is now generated at 5,250 rpm. Consequently, you can whiz past the landscape with a twist of your wrist. The richer torque characteristic guarantees even more relaxed cruising. The engine brake control and Dynamic ESA guarantee the necessary stability and safety. And even the riding modes are even more focused now. For noticeably more riding fun – whether alone with a passenger.
